On December 14th, UW-Madison Division of Extension will be hosting an informational meeting for farmers interested in starting a cooperative to address the meat harvest plant shortage in the area and building a successful harvest plant business. If you are a livestock farmer, or someone who is concerned enough to take an active role in the food security of Green Lake and surrounding counties this meeting is for you!
Time will be 7pm at the Dalton Community Center, W6368 Pine St, Dalton, WI 53926.
Speakers include Andy Larson from the UW Food Finance Institute, Jeff Swenson from DATCP, and Kelly Maynard from The UW Center for Cooperatives.
