FarmLand Access & Transitions

Farmland access is the #1 challenge facing beginning farmers. Record high land prices and inflation is creating huge hurdles for our next generation farmers to build a business. That’s why FoxRAP focuses on finding innovative paths to accessing farmland, including working with older farmers to transition their land. Providing resources at the point of transition means a workable solution for both young and old farmers, and keeping working farms that feed our communities.

See our Transition Your Land guidebook for more resources.

Upper Fox Food and Farm Network

Upper Fox Food and Farm Network (UFFFN) is a regional community of farms, businesses, and eaters that focuses on connection, education, and support.

UFFFN is building a future where food, land, and community are truly connected by:

  • Strengthening local food networks and market access
  • Increasing availability and access to local food and farm products
  • Expanding education and outreach to farmers and consumers
  • Growing regional land access pathways and agritourism initiatives

Check out our Local Food & Farm Guide and get plugged into our Facebook group to participate as an eater or a producer.

ENgaging COmmunity

Everyone plays a role in a healthy, vibrant food & farm network – farmers, eaters, business owners, students, parents – and FoxRAP programs reconnect our community to the food and land that we depend on.

In the summer of 2025, we hosted a weekly hands-on gardening class at the Ripon and Berlin Boys & Girls Club sites. With a focus on local food, the kids get to learn about planting, harvesting, composting, and more in a fun and familiar environment.

Follow our blog to learn more about local food, farms, building community, and how to get involved.

Restoring our ecosystem

Beyond food and other farm products, our local farms also steward our ecosystem like building soil, filtering water, cleaning air, and providing habitat for pollinators and wildlife that we all need to survive and thrive.

FoxRAP collaborates with community partners to develop resources for farmers, landowners and other community members to better steward these essential landscapes.

Check out the Regenerate Your Farmland guidebook for more info on ecosystem stewardship tools.

Resources

FoxRAP continually works with other organizations, locally and statewide, to produce up-t0-date and informative resources for eaters and farmers alike. See our Resources page for info on local food, grazing, land conservation tools, and more.
