FoxRAP Kids Creative Contest: Entry Guidelines & Rules
Young Stewards Creative Contest Overview
In celebration of the 5th Anniversary of FoxRAP, we invite our community youth to participate in the Young Stewards Creative Contest, where their artistic expressions can shine. Children are encouraged to share their ideas about farming, nature, and regenerative agriculture through various mediums, such as colorful artwork, engaging coloring pages, captivating short stories, or imaginative poems. By submitting their creations, participants will help narrate the story of our land and community, and winners will earn a special feature in the 2027 Farm Guide.
Eligibility
– Open to children ages 4–17
– Participants will be grouped by age category:
• Ages 4–7
• Ages 8–12
• Ages 13–17
Submission Categories
Participants may submit one entry in any of the following categories:
– Coloring Page (provided for ages 4-7)
– Original Drawing/Artwork (any age group)
– Short Story (max 500 words)
– Poem (max 250 words)
Theme
All submissions should relate to one or more of the following:
– Farming or food systems
– Nature and the environment
– Regenerative agriculture
– Caring for land, animals, or community
Submission Requirements
– Each entry must include:
• Child’s name and age
• Parent/guardian name and contact information
– Artwork must be original and created by the participant
– Written entries must be the participant’s own work
– Limit one entry per child (it is ok if a child includes an image with their written story – they will be combined into a single entry)
Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated based on:
– Creativity and originality
– Connection to theme
– Effort and clarity of expression
– Age-appropriate skill level
Prizes & Recognition
– One Winner from each age group will be selected
– Winning entries will be featured in the 2027 FoxRAP Farm Guide
– Selected entries may also be shared on FoxRAP’s website, social media, or other storytelling platforms leading up to the end of 2026.
Permissions
By submitting an entry, parents/guardians grant FoxRAP permission to:
– Publish the child’s work (with first name and age only)
– Use submissions for educational, promotional, and storytelling purposes
Submission Deadline
All entries must be submitted by December 1st, 2026
